So far…

Ive spent 6 months working in the local industry. I learned a lot about what kind of culture I wanted to be part of in those 6 months, what kind of goals I wanted to set for myself, and what I really wanted out of this industry.

I like to think of everything as a learning experience, to be honest. I feel as though one cannot truly know what they want until they can tick off certain things that they don’t want.

I want an environment that encourages growth, takes responsibility and treats their employees like people versus a body or a cog in a machine. That experience was not something I learned by working in this industry, but in another. However, the mentality stays the same for me.

I crave a place to call home, one where I am heard and appreciated not only for my knowledge, but my compassion and empathy. An environment that challenges me to be better than I was yesterday and encourages me to be true to myself in the process.

I’m convinced that place exists and I will not give up until I find it.
